What January would be complete without the requisite what's hot list? Here's ours for 2012

1 Sequins - I KNOW this is considered as a 'holiday trend' and it 'can't be touched now that the holidays are over', Since you're wearing a very loud piece, choose either neutral tops or tops in the same color as your sequined piece. There's your ideal day look!

2 Big Long Earings - I know that the 1960′s have been trending for several seasons now, but big earrings haven’t seen the light of day since the 1980′s. But guess what they are back in fashion ..

3 Wet hair look - This “wet hair” look is just one of many trends on the horizon for spring and one of my least favorites. To achieve this look, your wet hair strands are infused with styling gel and then styled plainly to give the appearance of having just stepped out of the shower.

4 Headscarf - We may see less of turbans in 2012 and more headscarves.

5 Mini Bags - Have you noticed that there are more and more small bags in stores? It's no coincidence, the mini bag is back and stronger than ever. It's time to put your oversized hobos in the closet and pick up a small stylish mini bag.

6 Loud Colours - or for those who are tired of the winter doldrums and need some excitement back in your life! One of this springs biggest trends is bold color. Vibrant hues of pink, orange, red and purple were popping up on almost all the runways.
